Filming for the BBC Series Open Gardens

13 March 2007 - The First Day

Filming in the Prairie Garden

We were very priviledged to be chosen to be one of the gardens featured in the new series of Open Gardens which will be shown in the Autumn of 2007 on the BBC. The first day of filming was a new and exciting experience and a bit nerve racking as well!

Filming with Judy Berrow the Worcestershire county organiser for the NGS.

The above photo shows me talking to Judy Berrow, the Worcestershire county organiser for the National Garden Scheme, who did her assessment of the garden. The film crew from Twofour Broadcast were great and really made you feel at ease. The filming process involves a lot of stopping and starting and repeating things so they can be filmed from different angles. It is quite hard work but I certainly enjoyed the experience and can't wait for the next visit in April with Carol Klein. Many thanks to Alan for taking the photographs.
