The Development of the Garden

The Next Stage - Current Projects April 2006

The following work has been going on in the garden during April. The builders building
our extension have built us a very nice feature wall and arch using some old bricks that we had.

The arch will be the new entance to the wildlife pond area and help to make it more private.

Alan and I have now completed the new path that connects the woodland path
to the prairie garden.

We used new sleepers to retain the bank and granite scalpings to make the path.

Several varieties of bamboo have now been planted along the path that
leads to the gazebo by the wildlife pond.

Some of the bamboos are Phyllostachys Nigra Henonis, Phyllostachys Aurea Holochrysa,
Phyllostachys Arcana Luteosulcata, Phyllostachys Bambusoides Holochrysa, Pseudosasa Japonica,
and Semiarundinaria Fastuosa which we bought from Jungle Giants near Ludlow.
